She is an experienced strategist, researcher, and storyteller with a background in election administration, government, media, advocacy, and academia. Prior to founding Blue Nexus Group, Liz worked as a communications strategist and researcher for over two decades in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career, Liz has been an advocate for the Latino community and other communities of color.

Liz developed and executed national marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and Forbes Global 2000 firms during her tenure in the private sector, including many projects that brought marketing and advertising dollars to the Latino consumer sector.

She served as the voter outreach manager for Pinellas County, Florida, during the 2020 election cycle, where she successfully led the transition from in-person to digital outreach during the pandemic. Her efforts were instrumental in nearly doubling the number of voters who cast their ballots by mail.

Most recently, she led the research team at Voto Latino, where she shaped and implemented the organization’s research agenda and persuasion campaigns. She also led the Latino Anti-Disinformation Lab, a project to study the impact of disinformation on the Latino community.

She regularly offers congressional leaders policy guidance on the issues that matter most to Latino voters, represents the Latino community in discussions with influential bodies such as PEN America and Define American, and hosts briefings and workshops to share research findings and messaging guidance with advocacy groups.

Liz is a sought-after speaker about the Latino electorate and the impact of disinformation on Latino voters. In addition to presenting her research at national academic and election conferences, she has been quoted in outlets like NPR, The Washington Post, and Univision.
